Breaking rules result in punishments. There are several types of punishments:

1. Warning - This is where a public announcement is made that mentions your name and that you have broken a rule. I will determine whether you knew what you were doing was wrong or whether a warning is necessary to explain it to you. If I do not give a warning, I will skip ahead to the next step in the penalty list.
2. Muting - This is where you are not able to talk on the board. You may still view it.
3. Temporary Ban - This is where you are not able to view the board for a certain period of time.
4. Permanent Ban - You can never again view the board.

The following rules list the most serious violations:

1. No Hacking - This should go without saying, but you are not permitted to hack the board. Guessing someone else's password and succeeding counts as hacking. Members who hack will instantly be permanently banned without any warnings.
2. No Discrimination - You may not insult members based on their religion, race, sex, political beliefs, or whether they are gay or straight. This is worse than flaming, because it also hurts other members of the board who fall into the catagory you insult. Lin][NewAge is a place where everyone is equal, and discrimination will NOT be tolerated!
3. No Bullying - Do not pick on other members. The worst kind of bullying is where new members are picked on. This hurts the member as well as the board.
4. No Flaming - Flaming harms the nice atmosphere of Lin][NewAge. It also causes thread's to go off topic, and most importantly, it hurts the person being flamed. The victom may defend themselves against any accusations made to them, but may not make any additional accusations to the flamer (which also counts as flaming).
5. No Profanity or Obscene Content - Such content does not belong on Lin][NewAge. A censor system is in place as a backup. If you see words in your post being replaced with ****, you have done something wrong. Please edit your post and tone it down before your timer runs out. To edit a post, click the "Edit" button right below it. Cheating the censor system is against the rules.

If you break one of these rules, the following penalties will apply (first time, second time, third time...) with the exception of breaking the rule "No Hacking" which immediately results in a permanent ban:

1. Warning - Depending on how serious a violation is, you may be issued a warning first
2. Muting - Muting for 10 days
3. Temporary ban - People who cause more problems after being muted for 10 days will be banned for a month, and for 2 months for the next offense.
4. Permanent ban - At this point, it is obvious that will never learn your lesson, thus, a permanent ban is necessary to be rid of the problems you cause.

The following rules are also important:

1. No Advertising - You are not permitted to make money using Lin][NewAge. You are not allowed to use the member list to obtain Instant Messenging screennames to harrass people to purchase a product from you.
2. No Illegal Activity - You are not allowed to break the law using Lin][NewAge. This can get l2newage.com into legal trouble. Posting links to roms is illegal, so this counts as a violation of this rule.
3. No Double Posting or Spamming - You may not post more than once in a row in the same thread. Posting lots of times in a row reduces the quality of the board, is a waste of the board's memory, and provides the culprit with ill earned post count points. Double posts will be merged into regular posts, and you will lose 10 postcount for each of the posts excluding the first one. Your post count can be changed to a negative number if necessary. The only exeption to this rule is if your edit timer (24 hours) for the post has run out, in which case you may double post if you have something important to add. Spamming is also not allowed, and is defined as a post that has no meaning.
4. No Topic Bumping - If a topic you created has no replies, you may not post again in it (although you may edit the post if the timer has not run out). If you made the thread because you need help with something, you may post again as long as you include additional information about your problem (the fact that you really really want it fixed does not count as additional information). You must post this in the same thread, and you are not allowed to create more than one thread per topic.

4. Temporary ban - People who cause more problems after being muted for 10 days will be banned for a month, and for 2 months for the next offense.
5. Permanent ban - At this point, it is obvious that you will never learn your lesson, thus, a permanent ban is necessary to be rid of the problems you cause.

Below u can find some basic guidance about the rules. Read them Carefully:

1 - There are no excuses for breaking the rules. It doesn't matter if you were angry at the time and weren't thinking straight. It doesn't matter if you were only kidding around. If you break a rule, it does the same damage, regardless of your reasons for breaking it, and you will be punished all the same.

2 - Staff abuse will not be tolerated. As a staff member, your job is to help the people, not harm them. You may only use your powers for the purposes that they have been given to you for. There is no limit on how much you may be punished for this severe offense as this must be stopped at all costs to protect the people. This means that if you abuse your powers, there is a good chance you will be permanently banned.

3 - Harrassing the administration about punishments is not allowed. The admins are only trying to do their job, and many times they have to make difficult decisions. You may post your opinion in the thread that announces the punishment, so long as you do not flame anyone. If this thread gets out of hand, it will be closed, and you may not complain elsewhere on the board, or by other means including, but not limited to: private messages, instant messaging programs, email, telephone calls, and house visits. You also may not make threats against administrators (or other members for that matter...). Punishments for harrassment range from a 5 day mute for minor harrasments to a permanent ban if serious threats are involved.

4 - If you break more than one rule, the punishments will stack up to a maximum of 2 months, or a permanent ban if neccessary. If a sentencing length is 10 days or less, it is a mute, otherwise, it can either be a temporary or permanent ban.

LOCKABLE THREADS
Threads will be locked if the GM Team feels that the thread’s content contains useful information, the discussion has come to a conclusion and further discussion would no longer benefit from further conversation or if a topic has become overrun with flames or unconstructive posts.
Threads may also be locked for reasons not detailed here. An explanation for a thread being locked is not required to be posted by the GM Team. If you wish to inquire to a post being locked you may submit a message to the GM Team regarding the post. Do not repost locked threads. Reposting locked threads will be deleted with the possibility of account suspension pending the thread’s topic.

REMOVABLE THREADS
Threads that are removed are considered harmful to the community, towards Lin][NewAge GM Team unrelated to NewAge Lineage Online or otherwise deemed inappropriate for these forums. The following list are examples to threads that are highly suspect to be removed if found:

Topics of Conspiracy: any posts stating, insinuating or leading to the idea of a conspiracy regarding Lineage NewAge Server and any representative of those companies granting favoritism to any race, clan, group, or player will be removed without notice with the possibility of account suspension.

Topics of Armageddon: threads projecting the "end of NewAge Server", "is failing" other similar topics will be removed without notice and the forum account may be suspended.

Topics of Censorship: posting topics inquiring why a thread was deleted or locked will be removed without notice. Inquiring regarding why a player was suspended or was not suspended will also be removed without notice. Players who are suspended have a right to post inquiry at the Punishment forum and they are the only ones able to receive such information.

Topics initiating flames, attacks, accusations or insinuations to others: threads that are posted for the purpose to flame, attack, accuse or initiate an accusation towards another user will not be tolerated and will be removed immediately when found. Still you can report some user by contacting GM via PM,"report to moderator" button or by posting at the Abuse forum.

Topics of quitting: threads stating the decision to quit the game for whatever reason will be removed and the forum and game account can be suspended permanently. If you choose to leave NewAge L2 community, please feel free to PM our Head GM your reasons for leaving so that your feed back may be used to better NewAge L2 and pass your messages of farewell to your friends and clan mates in-game.

Topics demanding response: threads that make threats or use offensive language will be removed without notice. If you have a question that you would like to be answered please address the subject in a calm and mature manner. If you do not receive an answer to a question please be patient as there may not be an answer for your question currently available to be given.

Topics of illegal activity: threads attempting to make illegal trade of game accounts, items or currency for other accounts, real-world items or currency are illegal and will be removed and the game and forum accounts permanently suspended.
Threads and posts making statements such as "Why stop hacks/bugs when it's all over the place!" will be considered supporters to these illegal acts and will also be suspended for such promotion. Arguments of whether the post is a joke or in mockery will not be accepted as cause for such posts.

Topics of Rule arguments: any thread subject or discussion determined to be seen as an attempt to find a loophole in any of the game rules or forum rules which would otherwise be seen as against forum or game policy, whether it be specific rule or spirit of such, will be removed.

Topics posting reasons why others (friends) where suspended: threads containing statements regarding a decision of suspension to an account regardless of reason will be removed without notice. All suspensions are done with found evidence that is irrefutable to the cause of suspension.

Topics of Legal Action: threads containing subject matter encouraging any kind of legal action against anyone will not be tolerated and is strictly prohibited. Any found content of this nature will be removed and the account responsible for the post will be permanently suspended.

Topics with unknown language: that moderators/GM can not understand and containing different language than English or Greek will be removed without notice.

All of the preceding has been stated for consideration to all aspects of the forum including the signatures, avatars, posts, comments and any links that may be posted.
Please be aware that this is a general guide to conduct on our forums. Reasons beyond the boundaries established here may be given for the suspension of any account.
